What is Common Heart Interfaith Fellowship?
We are an interfaith spiritual community that brings people together to celebrate many wonderful and powerful ways to connect with Spirit.
We believe that all spiritual paths have value, and we honor both mainstream world religions and non-traditional paths. We also recognize the value of non-religious forms of spirituality, such as honoring the beauty of the natural world and the goodness of humanity.
We are not a religion but rather a community of spiritual seekers expressing our spirituality in a variety of ways. In our interfaith celebrations, we seek to extract the jewels of wisdom that lie at the heart of each path, and we embrace the beauty and love that inspires all traditions.
We have no creed or dogma. By offering the teachings of many faiths, we trust that individuals will choose their own beliefs and their own moral and ethical principles, integrating what is most appropriate for their own lives.
In the spirit of Deep Ecumenism, (as described by theologian Matthew Fox), we view each of the world’s religions as a well that leads to a great underground river, the abundant flow of Divine Love. There is one river with many wells, each one leading us to the Source that connects us all. Our Fellowship invites us to explore these many wells and experience the unity that lies at the heart of all spiritual paths.
